Lucy T. Lavery (nee:Parente) of Burlington passed away suddenly at Virtua Hospital, Mt. Holly on Thursday at the age of 86. She was born in Philadelphia and was a longtime Burlington City resident. She was self-employed. She was a parishioner of St. Paul’s RC Church. She loved going to Atlantic City, reading books and doing crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed getting her hair done while socializing at Dawn’s High Street Hair Salon every Thursday, eating out at diners, gardening and faithfully watching her soaps on TV.
She cherished her time with her great grandchildren as they always made her laugh. She is survived by her daughters Jo Ann Pepponi and son in law Chip, Darlene Hale with whom she resided; grandchildren Gina (Shawn) King, Stephanie (Jason) Wilson, Mark (Amie) Pepponi; great grandchildren Alex, Ashton King, Jacob, Mia Pepponi, Tyler, Bradley Wilson; dear friend and neighbor Mrs. Ann Centifonti, who provided her with homemade meals and friendship, many nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Lucy and many other friends and family. The family invites friends to her visitation and mass on Tuesday.
