Our beloved Mother, Grandma and Sister, Lucy Cabral Rivera, was called by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 28, 2013.
She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Mama Lucy lived a full life and was admired and respected by all who knew her. She was adored and loved by generations of families and will be deeply missed. Mama Lucy we are all so glad to have shared many wonderful memories with you, and when we remember those memories, we’ll remember that “for a moment in time you were all ours.” Gone now are the days we used to share, but in our hearts you will always be there. We believe those we have loved and lost don’t go away, but walk beside us each and every day. We will never forget you grandma, and will always love you. If you had lived a thousand years, grandma, it would not have been enough time together.
Lucy is now reunited with her Mother, Veneranda Cabral; her best friend and sister, Helen C. Flores; husband, Jess Rivera; daughters, Patricia Padilla and Yolanda Rivera; and sons, Johnny and Julian Rivera, who are now welcoming her into Paradise.
Mama Lucy is survived by her children, Rosemary (Marylou) Rivera, Linda C. Rivera, Lorraine (Chana) Rivera, Victor Rivera and Jess (Molie) Rivera. She will forever be remembered by her 29 grandkids, 44 great-grandkids and 18 great-great grandkids.
