Lucille Manning West, 99 of North East, MD, died Monday, January 16, 2017 at home.
Born in Summit, NJ, on October 12, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Albert Ford and Rebecca (Atkinson) Manning.
Lucille, a graduate of North East High Scholl and Beacon College, taught Sunday school at North East Methodist Church. She was the head of the Elk Chapter of the DAR, member of Historical Society of Cecil County, and Eastern Star. Lucille was also active in the children of the American Revolution Elk Landing Chapter, and enjoyed Cecil County History and genealogy research.
She was a Secretary, employed by the DuPont Company before her retirement.
Mrs. West is survived by Nephew: John “Jack” Manning of North East, MD.
In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her Husband: William M. West; Sister: Dorothy E. Manning; and Brother: John A. Manning, Jr.
