Lucille Prunk, age 90, of Huntington, IN, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Tipton Place. Mrs. Prunk was born on January 15, 1932, in Huntington, IN, to Cornelius and Ilene (Smith) Brown. Her parents preceded her in death.  She married Frank Prunk on July 21, 1973.  He preceded her in death on June 8, 2010.

Mrs. Prunk was a 1950 graduate of Huntington Catholic.  She worked at Our Sunday Visitor, Huntington, IN, and St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, CO.  She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Huntington, IN.

Lucy was a good-natured, fun-loving person who was helpful to family and friends. She was known to spend many hours prior to holidays and family gatherings lovingly preparing her famous tenderloin sandwiches.

Lucy was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Rockies. She oftentimes spent the opening day cheering on the Rockies with her close friend & former co-worker of 30 years, Sister Mary Jo Anzik. In addition, Lucy enjoyed visiting Blackhawk casinos in her retirement years. During her seven years of residence at Tipton Place, her bright and enthusiastic personality made everyone’s day better.

Lucy is survived by a sister-in-law, Cathy Brown, Indianapolis, IN; seven nephews, Mark Brown, Greg Brown, Steve Brown, and Tim Brown. Kent Waters, Mike Buwa, Tim Buwa; two nieces, Carla (Brown) Brennan and Lori (Waters) White. She is also survived by four step-children; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters Mary Aufdenkampe, Theresa Buwa, and Rosemary McGinness; five brothers, Robert, Edward, Carl, Donald, and Richard Brown; and one nephew, Gary Brown.
