Lucienne Rose Dupre of Norwalk and New Canaan passed away on Sunday August 14,2011 at The Waveny Care Center with her children by her side. She was 102 years old. She was the widow of Nazarice N. Dupre, former French teacher at Brien McMahon High School. Lucienne was born in St. Joseph de Sorel, P.Q., Canada, April 15, 1909, the daughter of Alfred and Noelia Desorcy. She was schooled in Canada and moved to Connecticut at the time of her marriage to Mr. Dupre. She became a citizen in 1947.

A resident of Norwalk for over 68 years, Lucienne made her home with daughter and son-in-law, Claire and Richard Bartoli, until she moved to Waveny in 2008.

Lucienne was a library technical assistant at Norwalk Community College for 16 years before her retirement at the age of 70. She was a communicant at St.

In addition to her daughter Claire, Lucienne is survived by another daughter, Louise Gagnon and her husband Dr. Raymond Gagnon of Falmouth, MA. She was predeceased by her son Charles of Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1998. In addition to her husband and her son, she is preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Lucienne is survived by her loving grandchildren: Anne Marie and Roger Silva of Norwalk, Ct. Michael and Jennifer Gagnon of Cary, NC., John and Christina Gagnon of Falmouth, MA, Catherine and Michael Sintros of Contoocook, NH., Marc and Carrie Gagnon of Franklin, MA., and Nazarice Dupre of Colorado Springs, CO.

She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren: John and Nicolas Gagnon, Peter and Elizabeth Sintros, Charlotte and Lucas Silva, Nazarice and Aydin Dupre, Simmone and Cecelia Gagnon and Lillie Gagnon.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Arthur Heliotis and to the staff at The Waveny Care Center for their daily expressions of compassion and comforting care.
