Luanne Louise Morris Bryant, 96, Shelbyville, died Monday, May 4, 2020 at her home. She was born in Detroit, MI and was the daughter of the late Willard Robert and Josephine Downey Morris. She was a homemaker. In her leisure time, she enjoyed quilting. She was Baptist by faith. She was a member of the Queen Esther Chapter No. 1, Order of the Eastern Star in Louisville and was the great-granddaughter of the late Dr. Rob Morris, the founder of the Order of the Eastern Star established in 1850. She entered the Daylight Lodge, Chapter No. 214 on June 2, 1969. That chapter later merged with Queen Esther No. 1.
In addition to her parents, her husband, retired police officer, Lewis Gilbert Bryant, who was with the former Jefferson County Police Department; her sister, Ethel Cisneros; her daughter, Mary Lee and two sons, James Lynn and David Morris, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her six children, Gilbert Ray (Norma Rae) of Adair County, Carol Jo Wilkerson (Ransom), Brenda Nichols and Beverly Nyguen (Coung) of Louisville; Steven of Shelbyville and Robert (Sandy) of Pendleton, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Cremation has been selected in accordance with her wishes.
