Luann Avery (Kinseth) Hohbein, 89 years of age, of Beatrice passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Beatrice Community Hospital and Health Center. She was born on December 17, 1928 in Belmond, Iowa to Ray and Mardel (Avery) Kinseth. Luann lived with her Avery grandparents after her mother died when she was 3 years old. She attended school in Iowa until they moved to Beatrice during the War in November of 1944. Luann graduated from Beatrice High School in 1946. She attended Doane College for 2 years and married Charles G. Hohbein on March 26, 1950.
Luann is survived by a son, Charles R. and wife Lorna; daughter, Julie Hohbein, both of Beatrice; grandson, Adam and wife Kylee; and great granddaughters, Ellee and Saige. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles G. in 1967; and brother, Ray.
