Louise M. (Algiere) Lewis, 86, formerly of John St. Westerly, RI, died peacefully Monday September 18, 2006, at the Watch Hill Care and Rehab. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald R. Lewis Sr.
Born in Bradford RI, on February 29, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Georgette (Gabrielle) Algiere.
Louise worked at Arwood Corporation in Groton CT, for over 14 years before her retirement in 1979. She was a communicant of St. Pius X. Church in Westerly.
One of her greatest joys in life was her total devotion and unconditional love to her family.
Louise was an avid Red Sox Fan.
She will be sadly missed by her son Donald R. Lewis and her daughter-in-law Helen Lewis of Ashaway. She was the loving grandmother of Robin Lary and her husband Darrien Lary of North Yarmouth, ME and great grandmother of Duncan and Bridget Lary of ME and Tiffany Spencer, Kalee Lewis and Kody Lewis all of North Stonington, CT. She also leaves he daughter-in-law, Pat Lewis of North Stonington, CT. She was the loving caring sister of; Mary Lombardo of Pawcatuck, CT, Frances Eusebio of Napa Valley, CA, Angline Allen of Westerly, Clarice Greene of Bradford, RI and Carmella Getty of North Stonington, CT., and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters and brothers; Acqulina Sposato, Rose Pucci, Janet Deperry, Joseph Algiere, Nat Algiere, Charles Algiere, Santo Algiere and Frank Algiere.
