Louise F. Lucas, 89, of Scottsdale Arizona, and formerly of Hammond and East Chicago, Indiana, passed away Monday, Nov. 9, 2015. She is survived by her five children: Dr. Deborah Arms of Groveport, Ohio, Barbara (Scott) Klink and Marian (Jorge) Frank of Phoenix, AZ, Linda (Michael) Murphy of Scottsdale, AZ, and Frank Lucas of San Francisco, CA; seven grandchildren: Melissa (Kenny) King, Sarah (David) Ziegler and Blair Arms, Amanda and Brett Frank, Lindsey and Anna Murphy, two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Andrew Ziegler, and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Frank M. Lucas, and daughter, Mary Lou, mother and father, Gertrude and Clarence Forsberg, and sister, Barbara Nagy.
Louise was a 1944 graduate of East Chicago Washington and grew up in Indiana Harbor. She worked as a secretary at BorgWarner in Chicago and for the Dean of Women at Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio. She was a member of the northwest Indiana chapter of Psi Iota Xi, a national philanthropic organization, and former secretary of the East Chicago Teachers Credit Union.
