Louise Jane (Wilson) Smith, 92 of Bolton, CT, beloved wife of the late Dale Smith, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018 at her home.

She was born in Manchester, CT on November 20, 1925, daughter of William Henry Wilson and Anna (Cholkowski) Wilson. Louise lived in Manchester throughout her youth and graduated from Manchester High School.

She was a member of the Bolton Senior Center where she spent many happy hours knitting hats for new born babies at Manchester Memorial Hospital and squares for quilts given to children at the Hole in the Wall Gang camp, and was a past member of the women’s auxiliary of the Bolton Volunteer Fire Department.

Louise is survived by her many nieces and nephews, Susan Lynch and her husband Michael of Wolcott, CT, Catherine Ann Lancer of Granby, CT, Rosemary Wallace of Connecticut, James VanSicklin of Bolton, William Scott VanSicklin of Glastonbury, CT, Paul VanSicklin of Farmington, CT, Edward Wilson Sr. and his wife Michelle of Coventry, CT, Philip Wilson of Coventry, CT, and Susan Barrett and her husband Sean of Columbia, CT. She also leaves numerous great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews.

Beside her parents and husband Louise was predeceased by a brother, Edward J. Wilson, a sister-in-law Rosemary Wilson, her sister Cecelia Wilson VanSicklin and her husband Arthur R. VanSicklin, and a niece, Cynthia Beaupre.

The family would like to thank her excellent home health care providers Michelle, Sandy, and Nancy who did so much. Especially to Nancy who went above and beyond as a friend, neighbor, and care provider for many years. The special moments, care and attention given to Louise over the many years cannot be appreciated enough.
