Louise Fallon Hoag

Louise Fallon Hoag, 82, of Columbus, Ohio and Delray Beach, Florida, passed on peacefully Tuesday, May 8, 2012 with her loving family at her side. Louise graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1947 where she was an honors student and cheerleader. She has many special lifelong friends from the class of ’47. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 1951 where she was a member of Mirrors, Chimes and Mortar Board Honoraries. She was a proud member of Pi Beta Phi. Following graduation at OSU, she began her modeling career, which included assignments at F & R Lazarus. She was a long-time member of First Community Church, where she served on the Foundation Board and was a member of Guild Y. She was a member of Childhood League Sustaining Board #3 and The Junior League of Columbus. Louise never met a stranger and was full of kindness to all. Her friendship was unconditional. She was graceful, always stuck stubbornly to her lofty principles, and had a sense of humor that belied her magnanimous nature. She never complained when her health weakened and was polite to a fault. She also had a special affection for children. Her family will miss her dearly, but are blessed by the inspirational way she led her life. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 58 years, Bob, who she met as a third grader and cherished dearly; a wonderful, inspirational mother to her children, Kenny of Delray Beach, Florida, Wes (Kim) of Columbus and Bobby (Marnie) of Columbus; and a doting and loving grandmother to Lindsay and Bo, whom she adored. She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Nellie Fallon and brothers Thomas and Ralph Jr. In addition she was preceded in death by her in-laws Kenneth “Preach” and Marjorie Hoag. She is survived by her sister, Ann Scollay (Jack) of Westerville; brother, William Fallon (Milly) of Worthington; and sister, Elaine Smith (David) of Worthington. She also cherished her nieces and nephews, Marianne Perkins (Jim), Ralph Fallon of Columbus, Carole Rohyans of Columbus, Mike Fallon (Leslie) of Simi Valley, California, Brad Fallon (Cathi) of Columbus, Fred Fallon of Columbus, Cliff Fallon (Ann Marie) of Columbus, Clint Fallon of Columbus, Mary Ward (Jim) of Georgetown, Kentucky, Ralph Smith of Venice, California, Joan Dooley (Bill) of South Salem, New York, Karen Good (Larry) of Marble, Colorado, David Smith (Amy) of Columbus, Laura Smith of New York, NY; and several grand nieces and nephews. Daisy Hilt was part of her extended family.
