Louis Szekely, 79, of DeMotte, Indiana passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016, in Valparaiso, Indiana. Louis was born on September 30, 1937, in East Chicago, Indiana, the son of Louis and Bernice (Wielgous) Szekely.
He was employed as a heating and cooling technician with Sears for 20 years before he retired. Louis proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960 on the USS Dixie. He married the love of his life, Patricia Hill on December 22, 1956, in Hessville, Indiana. Louis was affiliated with the DeMotte United Methodist Church and a member of Sandy Pines Golf Club.
Louis is survived by his wife: Patricia Szekely of DeMotte; daughter Jill (Brian) Tucker; and 2 grandchildren: Emily & Brian.
Louis was preceded in death by 2 sisters.
