Louis Robert Damiata, 84, husband of Patricia (Prue) Damiata, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014. A longtime resident of Cromwell, he was born in Middletown on March 1, 1930 to the late Salvatore and Marietta (Truppello) Damiata. Louie was in the military from 1952-1953, serving as a Corporal in the Headquarters Battery, 793d Field Artillery Battalion which was stationed in Germany. He worked for EIS Brake Manufacturing for forty-three years eventually being promoted to the position of Branch Operations manager. He loved to travel to blue grass festivals and was known to pick a tune or two on his guitar, playing alongside his wife and many friends. Louie also loved to tinker with and restore old engines. Besides his wife, Louie was survived by four sons, Robin Damiata of Colorado, Dean Damiata of Cromwell, Dann Damiata of Cromwell, and Brian Damiata of California.
