Eddie Louis LaPrade, 69, of 1119 Franklin Tpke., Danville, VA died unexpectedly Thursday, March 10, 2011 in Danville Regional Medical Center, Danville. Born February 1, 1942 in Danville, he was the son of the late Eddie B. LaPrade and the late Mary Reynolds LaPrade. He was a member of Grace Design United Methodist Church and was married to Linda Scearce LaPrade who survives of the residence. Louis was a graduate of George Washington High School and Danville Technical Institute. He owned and operated A-1 Transmissions, later owned and operated A-1 Satellite Co. and also worked for Electronic Development Lab. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in Vietnam. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mindy LaPrade Warren and husband, Rob; a son, Eddie LaPrade, II; a brother, Jimmie Allen LaPrade, all of Danville. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Preston, Reagan, Franklin and Lathan.
