Louis J. Haugh, 82, of Manhattan, longtime resident of Ridgefield, died on Monday, March 7, 2022.

Louis was born in Menomonie, Wisconsin on August 22, 1939; a son of the late Francis and Lucille (Zahradka) Haugh. He is survived by his three children Meredith, Amanda (Paul) and Daniel (Dalene); his two brothers, Jerry (Merrie) and William (Susan); and nine grandchildren, Lawson, Shannon, Colleen, Patrick, Olivia, Jack, Michael, August, and Cameron as well as nieces, nephews, their spouses, and grand nephews.

A longtime Ridgefield resident, Louis was a journalist, and excelled in the field of marketing for many years. Louis served in the US Navy during the Vietnam era in a non-combatant role. He retired from the US Navy Reserves with honors as a Commander. He was a loyal parishioner of St.

His career highlights include: Chicago Tribune, Reporter; Advertising Age, Senior Editor; Westport Marketing Group, Managing Partner; Frankel & Co., Sr. VP; Einson Freeman Inc., Managing Director; Peppers & Rogers Group International, Managing Director.

While Louis enjoyed a successful and fulfilling career, it was his devotion to family that will be his legacy and leave the most cherished memories. He was actively involved in growing the Haugh, Keating and Beatty families. He enjoyed keeping extensive and detailed notes on each family members’ activities, jobs, hobbies, and sports.
