Louis C. Imbriale, 78, of Marlboro, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel. Louis was born on January 24, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York, where he grew up and met his beloved wife, Lorraine. On September 23, 1966, Louis and Lorraine were married and began their life together in Brooklyn. A few years later in 1970, they settled in Staten Island, New York, where they remained to raise their family. Ultimately in 2010, they retired to Marlboro, New Jersey. Before Louis’ retirement, he worked as a dedicated fire fighter for the New York City Fire Department for over 27 years. Earlier in his career, he also worked as a police officer for the New York City Police Department, before transitioning to his position as a fire fighter. Louis was also a proud Veteran of the United States Army, having served our country during the Vietnam War.
With all of Louis’ years of experience with the police department and fire department, he was one of their greatest supporters over the years. During the tragedy of September 11th, he worked tirelessly with the fire department to help with rescue and rebuilding the city. In his spare time, Louis enjoyed collecting stamps, coins, and model trains and was a history enthusiast. He also had superb organizational and financial skills. Louis’ family described him as a bit of a jokester. Often referred to as “Louie” or “Lou”, even “Loueye” by friends, he was known as “Mr. Personality” by those who knew and loved him, and he could always bring a smile to their faces. Most of all, Louie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Ann (Colacino) Imbriale. Louie is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 55 years, Lorraine (Randazzo) Imbriale, his loving children, Kim Reina and her husband, Charles, of Middletown, Mark Imbriale and his wife, Jeannette, of Staten Island, NY, and Lori Ulrich and her husband, John, of Aberdeen, and his dear sister, Evelyn Molinare and her husband, Frank. Louie also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Alex, Derek, Olivia, Sophia, Ella, Sienna, and Damian, and his treasured four-legged friend, his dog, Sebastian who was fondly known as “Sebby”.
