Lucama….Louis “Buddy” Berry Tew, age 72, passed away, Friday, March 24, 2023.
Buddy was born in New Hanover County, Wilmington, NC. He moved to Wilson at the age of ten years old. Buddy was an electrician and the owner of Tew electric for over twenty years. He started contract work for Wilson Medical Center and later went to work for them. He retired from Wilson Medical Center December 2013. He loved his music. Buddy picked the guitar and the banjo and also played the piano. He loved golf, traveling and cooking.
He was preceded in death by his is parents, Louis Jackson and Ruth Dorsey Tew; maternal grandparents, Drewsillus and Myrtle Aycock Dorsey; paternal grandparents, Alex Berry and Katie Young Tew.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty two years, Wilma Pearson Tew; sons, Louis (Little Buddy) Berry Tew, Jr., Ronald Tew, Will Tew; sisters, Ann Wells (Starky), Brenda Bunn (Don); grandchildren, Brandon Tew, Dylan Moore, Liam Tew, Justin Tew, Brianna Tew, and Pearson Tew.
