Lottie Kirks, 88, formerly of the Figsboro Community, Martinsville, VA and Brookstone Retirement Center, Lexington, NC died Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Baptist Palliative Care Unit, Winston-Salem, NC. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Tom and Alzie Dodson; her husband, Aaron S. Kirks; brothers, Roy, Jesse, Lynn, GT, Howard, Herbert and Herman Dodson and sisters, Violet Dodson, Doris Mason and Belva Wagoner. She was a member of the Martinsville Primitive Baptist Church and had worked for Pannill Knitting Co. and Ladd Furniture. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Denise Hinkle and Joe Hinkle of Winston-Salem, NC; her son and daughter-in-law, Barry Kirks and Sandy Kirks of Ocala, Florida and nephews, Aaron, Andy, Sam and Joe Kirks.
