Loretta J. Woodson, 74, of Wolf Summit passed away Tuesday January 7, 2014 at her residence with family by her side. She was born September 26, 1939 in Miletus; the daughter of the late Lot T. and Margaret S. Swann Bowen. Loretta is survived by one daughter, Rhonda L. and Nelson Junior Bruffy of West Union, one son, Richard Wayne and Tamra Woodson of Clarksburg; one grandson, Kenneth Scott Nicholson; one granddaughter, Hannah Dawn Woodson; six brothers, Robert and Shirley Bowen of Salem, Carl T. Bowen of Wallace, Raymond B. and Mary Bowen, Daniel L and Sharon Bowen all of Illinois, John W. and Evelyn Bowen of Wallace, Junior L. and Debbie of Wolf Summit; numerous nieces and nephews; best friend and sister in God, Sue Greathouse. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl George Woodson; three brothers, Wesley M., James R. and Rollin Timmy Bowen. Loretta graduated from Doddridge County High School and retired from United Hospital Center as a CRCST. She enjoyed working with crossword puzzles, listening to gospel music and the company of family. The family would like to extend a special thank you for the help of family, neighbors and Peoples Hospice.
