Lorraine Maresca Pritchard, 79, of East Haven, formerly of Orange, left this life on Saturday March 7, 2015 the way she lived it , with her loving and devoted family by her side. Her brave and tenacious battle with cancer ended peacefully and with dignity.
Born in New Haven she was the youngest daughter of the late Daniel and Jennie Purificato Maresca. She was the wife of John “Jack” Pritchard, the mother of Donna Limone of Branford (Paul), Jack Pritchard of Orange (Paula) , and Elizabeth (Beth) Schioppo of Guilford.
Lorraine also leaves behind her adoring grandchildren John, Jack, Peter, Jenna, Jerome, Anne, Charles, and Kelly.
She was the sister of Anna Miserendino (Tony) of Wallingford, Julie Iadonisi (Mario) of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and her twin sister Lois Gradasso (Vincent) of Jupiter, Florida. Lorraine is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Lorraine retired from the Town of Orange where she worked for many years in the Board of Finance office. She was also active for many years with the Women’s Republican Club of Orange.
Lorraine’s children would like to extend their deepest and sincerest appreciation to the staff at Smilow Cancer Hospital, the staff at Yale New Haven UNIT 7-5, and the entire staff At Maple Wood at Orange and Season’s Hospice Care for their incredible and compassionate care.
