Mrs. Lorraine Furr, Age 86 of 697 Main Street SW Concord, NC was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC. Born in Cabarrus County on October 29, 1922 to the late Grover Lee Foster and Pearl (Hill) Foster . She was also preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Floyd A. Furr; brothers, Hubert, Conway, and Melvin; and sister, Juanita. The family meeting place will be the home. Mrs. Furr retired from Cannon Mills. Her greatest joy came from serving her Lord through her gospel singing ministry. She and her husband Floyd founded The Gospel Trio, which traveled extensively in NC and surronding states singing Godâs praises.
