Those left to honor Lorraine’s memory are her husband, Virgil of Newton; daughter, Christine (Larry) Crew of Pella, Iowa; her four grandchildren, Ryan Crew of Pella, Iowa, Martin Wells of Dandridge, Tennessee, Shelly Vermer of Ottumwa, Iowa, and Danny Crew of Centerville, Iowa; her great-grandson, Desmond “Diss” Col-Wells; brother, Raymond Vanek of St. Paul, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Anna (Jechorek) Vanek; and brother, Leonard Vanek.
Lorraine was a clerical worker and did collections for 22 years for Associated Dentists and for the Jasper County Credit Bureau
Lorraine enjoyed crocheting, gambling, dancing and cooking.
