Lorraine Bulson Perkins, 72

North Greenbush Lorraine Bulson Perkins, 72, of Dodge Street, died Friday at Samaritan Hospital Troy, after a long illness.

Born in Eagle Mills, she was daughter of the late Ellery and Flora Campbell Bulson and wife of the late John A. Perkins. She had resided in Wynantskill since 1968 and was educated at Garfield School and Troy High School.

Mrs. Perkins was employed for 58 years was office manager for Devane’s in Troy retiring 5 years ago and was a hostess for the Crooked Lake Hotel and Dave Victor’s.

She was an avid bowler and was the treasurer of her league, “The After Sixers”. She enjoyed walking and playing volleyball and was a member of Gilead Lutheran Church in Center Brunswick. She also helped out in many capacities with the Uncle Sam Chorus, of which her husband was a member.

Survivors include her “children” Lorraine Carlson of Schenectady and Charles Alger of East Greenbush; a brother Ira Bulson of Scotia; a sister Martha L. Essegian of East Greenbush; two step daughters Martha Staring and Jennifer Perkins both of Cohoes; five grandchildren Jacquelyne Babbitt, Parker John Staring, Edward John Perkins, Therese Desmond and Jessica Desmond; 4 great grandchildren and her dear friend Joan Faxon of East Greenbush. She was predeceased by a brother Paul and three sisters Doris, Lenore and Janis.
