Obituary of Lorraine B. Miller
Lorraine Miller was born in Mount Sterling, WI on March 8, 1930. It is no exaggeration to say that she was loved and appreciated by everyone she met. Preceded in death by husband Kenneth J. Miller and son Gregory. Survived by two sisters, Joyce Helmboldt and Shirley Dillard and two sisters-in-law, Karen Hobbs and Lois Hobbs. Special mention to Meg Hoye, family friend. Also survived by children Patricia Larson (Brad); Steven (Carol); Diana Yochum (Gary); Gayle Schanno (Paul); Linda Rauschendorfer; Eugene; Joanne; Pamela; and fifteen grandchildren – Kenneth, Kimberley, Brian, Tracy, Kristin, Mathew, Mark, John, Todd, Troy, Alaura, Amanda, Terry, Elizabeth and Hailey. There are many great-grandchildren.
Lorraine was a lively, kind and gregarious woman. Her encyclopedic knowledge of her children and grandchildred was legendary. She always put a smile on our faces and filled our hearts with love.
Many knew Lorraine through her arts and crafts activities. She generously provided homemade clothing to the needy and gave freely to others.
Lorraine’s 80th birthday party, held at St. Bernard’s Church in St. Paul, was a memorable event attended by over 100 family members and friends.
