Lola Mae Highsmith was born February 25, 1924, in State Center, Iowa, the daughter of Lewis Carl and Lilly Mae (Thornly) Highsmith, and passed away Thursday, January 28, 2010, at Bethany Lutheran Home in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
She attended high school in State Center, graduating in 1941. Following graduation, she attended AIB College of Business and worked at the Rollins Hosiery Mill in Des Moines, Iowa.
In March of 1946 she was united in marriage to Leroy Nielsen in Des Moines, Iowa. Four children were born to this union. Leroy passed away in June of 1991.
Lola married Dale Weuve in August of 1992. The couple made their home in State Center, Iowa. Dale passed away in December of 2005.
