Lois (Pollack) DeFore, 94, of Ottawa passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021 at Pleasant View in Ottawa.
Lois was born on November 25, 1926 in Kangley, IL to Theodore and Gladys (Reeder) Pollack. She married Gordon DeFore on October 12, 1947, in Streator. He passed away on March 11, 2006.
Lois worked as a clerk at the courthouse and as a consignor at ReRuns for 15 years. Se was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Moose Lodge, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She also loved to play bridge as part of the Elks Bridge Club, and was a Master Bridge Player.
She is survived by four children; Robert (Angela Woelpern) DeFore of Floodwood, MN, Brent DeFore of Ottawa, Dawn (Mark) Kolotka of Ottawa, and Heather (Jerry) Carlton of Mantua, OH; nine grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Harriet Roberts and Grace Mallonee; and a brother Robert Pollack.
