Lois Lorraine Porter, 79, of Millers Merry Manor, New Carlisle, IN, formerly of Arbor Pointe Drive, South Bend, IN, passed away 6:00 p.m., Friday, September 23, 2005, in the nursing facility. Lois was born on July 8, 1926 in Benton Harbor, MI, to Ralph and Blanche (Miller) Kimball, and had lived in South Bend and Gravel Lake, Lawton, MI, off and on for 50 years. She had worked for the Hallmark Corporation in the installations and display set-up department for four years. On March 10, 1947, as Lois Lorraine Kimball, she married Philip D. Porter, who preceded her in death on November 15, 1983. Also preceding her in death was her brother, Richard Kimball. Survivors include her children, Nancy (Alan) Stopczynski of South Bend, IN, Mark Porter of South Bend, IN, Thomas (Jan) Porter of Mason, OH, and five grandchildren, Joanna Porter, Lindsay Porter, Phil Porter, Joe Porter, and Devree Stopczynski.
