Lois Jean Stanley, 83, died at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the Allay Assisted Living of Lisbon. She was born June 2, 1931 in Salem, Ohio, daughter of the late Wilford N. and Helen Mae (Dressel) Stratton. She worked at Walmart as a department manager for 14 years. She was a 1949 graduate of Olney Friends Boarding School and member of the Salem Friends Meeting. Survivors include her husband Charles ” Dick” Stanley whom she married June 20, 1954; daughters Lucinda “Cindy” J. (Lloyd) Willis of Rogers, Rachel A. Stanley of Saint Petersburg, Florida; three sons, Charles R. (Sherri) Stanley of Bell Florida, James E. Stanley of Port St. Lucie, Florida and David (Linda) Stanly of Maineville, Ohio; sister Ruth Varkonda of Salem; brother Robert W. Stratton of Salem; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister Betty Solomon, and one grandson, Todd Stanley.
