Lois Elizabeth Herron We mourn the loss as we celebrate the life of Lois Elizabeth Dilworth Herron, our precious mother, grandmother and great grandmother who passed away Tuesday morning, August 26, 2014 in Dublin, Ohio. Lois was born April 21, 1918 in Darlington, Pa., daughter of Ford N. and Lula B. Dilworth. Lois graduated from Salem High School and from Kent State University with a degree in education. She taught fourth grade for a number of years in the Salem City Schools. She married Gail C. Herron on September 20, 1941 and raised 4 children. She was a lifelong member of the Salem First Presbyterian Church. Lois was preceded in death by her husband Gail (1979), her parents, siblings Duane and Oland Dilworth and Reba Staker. She leaves to cherish her memory, son Gail (Judy) of Salem, daughter Bonnie (Chuck) Gilligan of Powell, Ohio, son Robert (Diana) of Salem, and son Gary (Brynn) of Vacaville, Ca., 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sister Jean Juhn of Winter Haven, Fla., and many nieces and nephews. Today our family pauses to reflect on and celebrate Lois’s life. She loved us completely and was such a precious gift to us all. We have been so blessed. We love you and miss you.
