Lois H. Miller, 89, of Morris, formerly of Serena and Ottawa, died on Monday morning, June 5, 2017 at Park Pointe Healthcare in Morris.
Lois was born on May 11, 1928 in Prairie Center to Claude and Elizabeth (Roux) Wise. She was a graduate of Serena High School class of 1946.
Lois married Russell H. Miller on August 25, 1951 at the Sheridan United Methodist Church. She worked at a number of businesses, including Farm Supply in Serena and at the Medicine Shoppe in Ottawa.
Lois was a member of the Sheridan United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She also volunteered at the Community Hospital of Ottawa for many years and enjoyed line dancing.
She is survived by 3 children, Debbie (Tim) Hanley, of Morris, Don (Heidi) Miller, of Oglesby, and Nancy (Robert) Delp, of St. Augustine, FL, 3 grandchildren, Erik Delp, Jill (Hanley) Middleton, and Ashley Miller, 2 great grandchildren Charlotte and Penelope, Delp, and a sister Esther Barr, of Mesa, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russell, on December 2, 1992, a son Rob, and 6 brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be Tim Hanley, Bob Delp, Erik Delp, Jeremy Middleton, Jack Wise, and Hank Gerdes.
