Lois Earles Gourley, 83 of 540 Ingram St., Danville died at her residence Tuesday, May 4, 2010. Born November 7, 1926 in Danville, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Clayton Earles and the late Alma McDaniel Earles. She was employed at Dan River, Inc., at the Hylton Hall Division for a number of years and later worked for Kings Supermarket. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Gourley is survived by a daughter, Susan Gourley of Danville; a son, Wes Gourley and wife, Robin of Newport, TN; a sister, Iris E. Justice of Stockbridge, GA; a sister-in-law, Patsy Earles of Danville; her grandchildren, Jon Gourley, April Hogan and husband, Tony, Jessica Conard and husband, Charles and Christopher Hurley; her great-grandchildren, Dillon Gourley, McKinnly Gourley, Alexis Steelman and Chloey Conard; a special friend of the family, Valerie Fesperman, and a very special companion, her cat, “Fredâ€. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Martha Turner and a brother, Carroll Earles.
