Lois A. Hoyler, 82, of 626 Pine Street, died Saturday, November 13, 2010, at her home. She was often seen downtown and was known as “the Hat Lady.”

Lois sold Avon for over 20 years and had been a seamstress at the former Brozman’s. She was a member of St. Paul-Calvary United Methodist Church and a former choir member, volunteered with Story Time at the James V. Brown Library, was a member of the Williamsport Senior Citizens, Divine Providence Hospital Aux., West Branch Valley Sports Hall of Fame and graduated from Williamsport High School in 1947.

Born February 3, 1928 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Harry A. and Ruth Alice Elder Flook, Sr.

Surviving are daughters, Sandra Newton (Allan) Stevens of Corrales, NM and Vicki A. (Albert) Miller of Long Pond; a brother, Donald E. (June) Flook of Williamsport; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie C. Hoyler of Muncy; grandchildren, Victor, Shawn, Melanie, Scott and Angel; and great grandchildren, Heaven, Dylan, Tyler, Jimmy, Zoe and Emma.

Lois was predeceased by her parents; sons, Gary R. Newton and Scott A. Hoyler and a brother Harry A. Flook, Jr.
