Lloyd John Hubbard Sr., 87, lifelong resident of Middletown, CT, passed away on Tuesday, September, 29, 2009 at Middlesex Hospital Hospice Unit. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ruth Magee Hubbard and their five children: Beth (Hubbard) Wilcox and her husband, John of Newport, RI; Lloyd J. Hubbard Jr. and his wife, Barbara of Wallingford; Randy W. Hubbard and his wife, Patricia of Middletown; Robin (Hubbard) Nichols and her husband, Tom of Middletown; and Holly M. Hubbard of Middletown.
He was affectionately known as “Bump” by his nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is predeceased by two sisters: Mildred “Nug” Birdsey and Dorothy McNulty; and two brothers: Leroy Hubbard and Seth Hubbard. Lloyd was born on February 1, 1922, at Middlesex Hospital. He was the son of Mildred (Birdsey) and Seth S. Hubbard.
