Lloyd S. (Bentley) Haas, 96, of Bloomington, formerly of Louisville, KY passed away Monday, August 10, 2009, at the Bloomington Hospital. Born November 3, 1912 in Louisville, KY, she was the daughter of Marshall and Bertha (Scott) Bentley.
Lloyd was a secretary for Stewarts Department Store in Louisville, KY. She was a member of the Bethel St. Paul United Church of Christ in Louisville, KY. Lloyd moved from Louisville to Bell Trace Senior Living Community in 1999.
Survivors include one son, Dave S. Haas and his wife Judy of Bloomington; one granddaughter, Stacye (Haas) Lane and her husband Brian of Greenwood, two great-grandchildren, Halle and Tyler Lane, two sisters, Ellen Roth and Martha Nancy Whiddon of Louisville, KY; two nieces, Sue Whiddon of Gainesville, FL; and Marsha Tilford and her husband Ron of Gahana, OH.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Haas (1959), her parents, and one sister, Marjorie Lawrence. Graveside services will be held at 3:00pm Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at the Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville, KY, with Pastor Jeff Siems officiating.
