Lloyd D. Leonard, age 77, of Greenwood, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by his family on Saturday, July 22nd.
He was born September 3rd, 1939 to Milton I. and Elenita (Stevens) Leonard in Hollister, California.
He grew up in Ionia, MI., and graduated from Ionia High school, in 1958. He attended Ferris State College in Big Rapids, MI. where he was a member of the Theta Xi fraternity. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree, he moved to Columbus, IN. and began his career at Cummins Engine. Lloyd then moved to Greenwood, IN. and worked for and retired from Allison Transmission, in Indianapolis, IN.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Julie (Woods) Leonard; his sister, Barbara Sorrell; brother-in-law, Robbie (Linda) Woods; sister-in-law, Nancy Woods; children, Grier (Valorie) Leonard, David Meek, Amy (Meek) Littiken, and John Meek; grandchildren, Gavin Leonard, Gemma Leonard, Kayli Littiken, Taylor Littiken, Caden Littiken, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Beverly Woods; and brothers-in-law, Melvin Sorrell and David Woods.
