Lloy Peterson, 65, of Meridian, Idaho, passed peacefully from this life on January 20, 2020.

She was raised in the Boise area, with her siblings and cousins, and loved Boise and its surroundings. She attended area schools, and graduated from Capital High School in 1972. She was independent from the beginning, and considered herself the caretaker of others, including her siblings. She worked hard all of her life, like her parents and grandparents before her. She was raised in the restaurant industry from an early age, beginning her career at Vic’s Café in downtown Boise, with her mother and stepgrandmother, while still in school. She continued her restaurant career by working for Darmody Enterprises, working her way up to a regional manager. She also attended Link’s School of Business to further her education, and in her later years, attended BSU just for fun, because she was a lifelong learner.

Lloy came from a long line of Killians and Kellys, and thus bore that Irish streak of independence and mischievousness, all in one package. The Irish wit was strong in her, and she was a jokester who loved a good, deep belly laugh as much as anyone.

Lloy was predeceased by her mother, Iris Hutchinson, and father, Jack Killian, as well as her maternal and paternal grandparents and uncles. She is survived by her loving husband John Peterson, Meridian, her two children Robert Schwartz and Kristen (Jared) Hendryx, along with her granddaughter Jodie Marie Hampshire and stepdaughter Teresa Yarbrough.
