Lisa A. Marquez 45, of Jonesboro IN, passed away on September 11, 2015. Lisa was born on June 11, 1970, in Santa Barbara CA. Lisa was the first child and daughter born to Lilia Martinez and Salvador Marquez Sr. Lisa is survived by her sister Linda, and nephew Eddie, of Indianapolis, IN, her brothers Salvador Jr., Emilio and nephew Salvador III, of Little Elm TX., as well as her stepfather Mitchell Burnett of Marion, Indiana, grandparents Anna and Isaiah Martinez of Santa Barbara Ca.

Lisa defeated the odds, and gave the world 45 years of Love and Innocence, she was always the practical joker, and feisty as they come, Lisa had a spirit only the Lord above could tame. Lisa moved to Jonesboro IN. In 1989 at the age of 19, and walked the stage proudly at Marion High School. Lisa went on to another great accomplishment and served for 20 years as an awarded and recognized top notch paper shredder at the nonprofit disability support employer, Carey Services in Marion IN.

Lisa competed in the Special Olympics, and enjoyed bowling and dancing to its fullest. Often Lisa would be the first on the dance floor, and the last to leave. Lisa’s passion was loving and caring for her baby doll with all her heart and what a terrific mother she was. We were blessed to witness Lisas beautifully fulfilling life, Lisa was called home by our Lord and savior and is no doubt already bringing love and laughter in Heaven.

Lisa’s mother and family would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts, the kindness and compassion that was shown by the Hospice service, as well as all the aides and assistance that was given throughout the years. How blessed we were to have living angels among us. Lisa continues to bring us joy in the memories we are sharing, and a beautiful celebration of her life has begun.
