Lionel H. Herdman Jr., 47, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday morning, Dec. 26, 2012, at Elkhart Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Feb. 6, 1965, in Elkhart to Lionel H. Sr. and Delores (McGraw) Herdman.
Surviving is daughters Brandy (Doug) Leedy of Elkhart and Brook Herdman of Granger; granddaughters Ambria, Kyndrie, and Adaleigh; sisters Carol (Keith) Logan of Elkhart, Diana (Dave) Baker of Syracuse, and Angela (Steve) Deese and Fonda (Tony) Arroyo, both of Elkhart; mother and stepfather Delores and Richard Max of Elkhart; and his former wife, Toni (Rusty) Mosby of Elkhart.
His father, Lionel H. Herdman Sr.; niece Jessica Shultz; and his nephew Tony “Bubba” Arroyo preceded him in death.
Lionel worked as a professional painter and with D & L Construction Co. He was a 1983 graduate of Elkhart Central High School and an avid Notre Dame fan. Most important to Lionel was his family and spoiling his granddaughters.
