Linnet M. Konkle, 69, of Williamsport, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 28, 2017. Surviving is her loving husband of 47 years, Thomas R. Konkle.

Born Jan. 2, 1948, in Elmira, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Joseph Leslie McIlwain and Eunice (Lovejoy) McIlwain, of Ellenton.

Linnet graduated from Williamsport Area Community College with a nursing degree and found a passion in caring for others early on while working as a nurse at Divine Providence Hospital and Dr. Shue’s office. Linnet also worked at the Christian Light Book Store and volunteered at the Williamsport Hospital during retirement.

She attended Trinity United Methodist Church and enjoyed quilting and knitting. Linnet was always giving of herself to help others in need. She sent handmade cards and caring thoughts to countless others throughout the years, spreading joy. Her pride and joy, however, was her family, as she loved her role being a mom and grandma.
