Linda Tipton was born in Canon City, Colorado on October 17, 1950, and passed away on February 5, 2013. She was 62 years old, and was never married or had children. She did, however, raise her great nephew Jeffery Travis Tipton from the age of 12 years old. He was her pride and joy. Linda graduated from St. Scholastic Academy in 1969, and then entered the University of Arizona where she transferred to the University of Southern Colorado where she graduated in 1973 with a degree in Accounting. Linda lived the remainder of her life in Canon City, and worked until her retirement at the State Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado on September 1, 2010. She then worked at the Golden Age Center in Canon City until failing health. Linda was preceded in death by her father Clarence C. Tipton in 1976, mother Ann Tipton 1997, a sister Karen Tipton 1999, she is survived by a brother Lt. Philip R. Tipton, Retired (Moldaleen “Toby” Tipton), Jeffery Travis Tipton(Erica Tipton) , an Uncle James Bennett of Canon City, and numerous nieces and nephews who reside in Colorado.
