Linda Sue Paulhamus, 75, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 16, 2023, at Johnston Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. She was born on July 15, 1948, in Lumberton, NC the daughter of the late Luther Clarence Barnes and Mertie Lee (Baxley) Barnes. In addition to her parents, Linda is predeceased by her daughter, Tonya Marie (Pallanta) Walters of whom she was still so recently grieving the loss of just two months prior to her own passing, infant great grandchild; Reilly Kristopher Kelly-Pallanta, sisters; Vada Prevatte, Lillian Rose Clewis, Rachel Faye Trottier, infant sisters, Ella Elizabeth and Elizabeth Ann Barnes, brothers; Luther Clarence (L.C.) Barnes, Jr., Hubert Paul Barnes, Sr., Woodrow Barnes, William Franklin Barnes, Edwin Lee Barnes, and infant brother, Elmer Jack Barnes. Linda was the youngest and last surviving sibling of her family.Although Linda and her husband Paul recently called Wakefield, VA home for the past two years, she was a lifelong resident of the Cape May Courthouse area of New Jersey. After more than 18 years of service, Linda retired from the Cape May Lewes Ferry as an Administrative Assistant. During retirement, she worked at Big Lots as a cashier.
