Linda May Fischer, 70, passed away Monday, August 5, 2019 surrounded by family and friends. She was born Tuesday, March 8, 1949 to Loyd and Johnnie Williams and was raised on the family ranch nine miles east of Moriarty with her five siblings. She married her high school sweetheart, Jim, and to that union three children were born: Randi, Jimmy, and Johnny. Linda was a lifelong resident of Moriarty and worked for the city for many years. She knew everybody and was a friend to all… many of them for life.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jim; daughter, Randi Metzger and husband, Wayne; son, Jimmy Fischer and wife, Monica; son, John and fiancée, Helena; seven grandchildren, Chris, Harli, Travis and wife Alexis, Kyle, Kayla, Jaron, and Jackson; five siblings, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
Linda was a beloved wife, devoted mother, and doting grandmother. We will miss her dearly and will miss our time spent around the kitchen catching up and checking in on one another which was one of her favorite things to do.
