Linda Louise Riggs, age 64, passed away September 11, 2014, after a long battle with cancer. Linda was born January 31, 1950 to Earl (Brownie) & Lavon (Bonnie) Brown of Chariton, Iowa. Linda is survived by her husband, Darrell Riggs; their three children: Dorothy (Danny) Wilcox, Roger (Donna) Putney and Darrell Riggs, Jr.; two granddaughters: Sondra & Kendra; and one great grandson: Jameson. Also left behind are her father, Brownie; two sisters: Caroline Hogue & Mary Collins; and two brothers: Pete Brown & Robert Brown. Linda and Darrell own The Office bar on the west side of the square in Chariton. She enjoyed camping, fishing and playing golf. And she especially enjoyed her times spent with her grandchildren. Linda made many friends over the years that she lived and worked in Chariton and she will be missed.
