Linda was born in Mount Holly, New Jersey on March 9, 1951, the daughter of Quaker Missionaries, Lawrence “Larry” and Lucille (Brotherton) Pickard, but was raised in Council House, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Brindle worked for many years for United Methodist Publishing House; first, as a Cokesbury Store Manager, before becoming the Northeast Sales Representative for Abingdon Press until her retirement. She remained active among Quakers after her retirement. She was a Recorded Minister in the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). Linda served as Pastor in Indiana Yearly Meeting at Salem Friends Meeting, near Liberty, and also served as Pastor of Fountain City Friends Meeting. She enjoyed reading and travel, especially traveling to England and Ireland. Linda also loved family times especially with her daughter and granddaughter.

Survivors include her husband David Brindle, Muncie; a daughter, Ruth Brindle Dobyns, (special friend-Lynn Beatty), Wilmington, Ohio; a granddaughter, Emma Katherine Dobyns, Wilmington, Ohio; a sister, Ann Smith, (husband-Max), Hagerstown; three brothers, Kent Pickard, (wife-Nancy), Wilmington, Ohio, Clair Pickard, (wife-Patti), Baker City, Oregon, and Dan Pickard, (wife-Pam), Joplin, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
