Linda J. (Gilbert) Bump, 65, of Newington, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27, 2014, surrounded by her adoring family. Born in Bath, ME, daughter of the late George and Georgia (Gunther) Gilbert, she has lived in Newington for the last 31 years, where she raised her family. Linda retired from the VA Hospital in Newington, after 35 years of employment. Linda enjoyed her television programs, doing puzzles, playing cards and spending time at the Newington Senior Center playing Bingo. She loved spending time with family and friends, but was happiest when surrounded by her grandchildren who were the center of her universe. Linda was a loving, generous, and deeply respected woman who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She leaves her son Michael Bump and his wife Amanda of Newington; her daughter Michelle (Bump) Krish and her husband Mike of Newington; her cherished grandchildren, granddaughter Carlie Bump and her fiancé Eric Dubois, grandson Matthew Bump, and granddaughters Kali and Kinleigh Krish, as well as her great grandchildren Ethan and Nathan Dubois. She also leaves her brothers, Rick Gilbert and his wife Becky, Tom Gilbert and his wife Liz, and Ronnie Gilbert and his companion Kelly Smith; her sisters, Donna Guilbeault and her husband Bob, Cathy Dufour and her husband Doug, and Joyce Lambert and her husband Roger. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, as well as the Crooks/Delmonaco’s, who were like family and a great support, and last but not least, her beloved canine companion Chloe. Linda was predeceased by her brother Larry Gilbert and her sisters Rosie Ballew and Debbie Fausel. She was also predeceased by her former longtime companion Roger Desmarais and will be dearly missed by his children Tommy, Joel, Nicole, Dennis and Michelle, whom she loved like her own.
