Lillie Mae Lambert, 84, of Galien, Michigan died Sunday morning, September 9, 2012 at Memorial Hospital of South Bend. Mae was born December 13, 1927 in Glendora, Michigan to Clarence Oscar Henry and Martha Marie (McClellan) Ender. She married Lewis J. Lambert on October 21, 1945. In addition to caring for her home and raising her six children, Mae was employed at the Beach Insurance Agency in Buchanan and later at the Jack Post Corporation in Galien.

She was a woman who kept her mind and hands busy, completing her GED in 1971, embroidering, decorating cakes, painting, and completing puzzles. Mae liked to play Dice and board games, bake bread and rice pudding, visiting her friends and family, and attending the Community of Christ Church in Galien of which she was a member.

Survivors include her children, Lewis (Betty) Lambert of Galien; Nancy (Matthew) Bradley of Buchanan, Michigan; Diane (Kevin) Beadles of Galien and Evelyn (Timothy) Freehling of Sturgis, Michigan; son-in-law Jimmie McClaran of Stevensville, Michigan; grandchildren, Tammy, Dawn, Mark, Ann, Lewis Jay, Rebecca, Rachelle, Michael, Christina and Timothy J, 20 great grandchildren, sister Esther (Aaron) Dickey of Galien and brother Arnold Ender of Galien. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis in 1969; daughters, Sandra Briggs in 2006 and Joyce McClaran in 2009; grandsons, Adam Briggs and Randy Lee Lambert, and her sister Doris Ender.
