Lillian Ruth Hughes, 76, passed away February 14, 2022 in Ogden, Utah. She was born on June 23, 1945 to Otto K. Link and Minnie Elizabeth Schultz in San Antonio, Texas.

Lillian was raised in Omaha, Nebraska where she later attended nursing school and earned her Licensed Practical Nursing degree at Saint Joseph Nursing School. She moved to Colorado where she met Donald Hughes. Lillian married Don on February 14th, 1970 in Omaha, Nebraska.

They moved to Elko, Nevada, then later to Ogden, Utah where she worked at St. Benedicts Hospital and Ogden Regional. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and her journey led her to be a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. She loved being involved with the Church and attended many Bible study groups, Family Promise, and quilting.

Lillian strived to be the very best person, mom, and grandmother God wanted her to be. She enjoyed spending her time caring and loving people, reading, walking, cooking, singing, participating in family activities, helping others, traveling, and worshipping the Lord Jesus Christ. Her love stretched out to more than her family as the community around her felt her presence and care. She was able to impact those around her in a positive light through her actions and rejoice full spirit. She lived her life like every day was a blessing, her continuous positivity, abundance of love, and compassion for others drew those closer to her. Lillian was the anchor that held her family together, she will be greatly missed by many.

Lillian is survived by her husband Donald and children: Marc, Michael and Ladonna (Carl Stephens) Grandchildren: Titus and Savannah Hughes, Issac Stephens, and Marquis Mora Siblings: Walt (Louise) Link, Jim (Denise) Link, Kathy (Mark) Langbehn, and Paul (Pat) Link.

She is preceded in death by her parents Otto and Minnie, brother Walter Link, grandchildren Christopher and Jacob Stephens.
