August 7, 1929 – October 17, 2016

Lillian Marie Zoda, age 87, of San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord on October 17, 2016. She was born in Shiner, Texas on August, 7, 1929 to Laddie and Mary Konvicka.

As a young girl Lillian helped her father in the fields of the family farm in Shiner, Texas. Lillian graduated from Shiner High School in 1947, and then went on to nursing school. She married her beloved husband Thomas E. Zoda on October 12, 1955 and began her long career as a wife, mother, and business woman.

Lillian’s talents ranged from grooming show poodles, to being city secretary of Hollywood Park, to owning and managing the Dairy Queens in Mason and San Saba, Texas. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and ranching, but most of all loved to dance.

Her favorite hobby when she was younger was flying airplanes. As part of a make-a-wish-come-true program by the Shavano Park Senior Living community, Lillian was able to take one more glorious ride to the heavens in August of this year.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas E. Zoda; brothers Laddie Konvicka and Frank Konvicka; and sisters Emily Poole and Sister Barbara Konvicka.

Lillian is survived by son Thomas E. Zoda, Jr. and his wife Norma; daughter Loretta Wiley and husband Michael; brother Alfonse Konvicka; sisters Louise Waligura, Georgia Haas, and Angeline Wagner; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
