WOODBURY- Lillian (Papovitch) Beavers, 80 of Woodbury, died Wednesday November 14, 2012 at Danbury Hospital with family present and supportive. She was the wife of the Rev. Dr. Paul Beavers.

Mrs. Beavers was born December 4, 1931 in Yonkers, NY, daughter of the late John and Anna (Dzamba) Papovitch.

She graduated from Nyack and Springfield Colleges and worked at Fairfield Hills Hospital in Newtown as an administrative assistant. She was active in the Woodbury Women’s Club and the Community Bible Study. She was an avid reader and loved knitting lap blankets for shut-ins. Her home was always a place of warmth and caring where she provided graceful hospitality. She will be remembered for her devoted prayer ministry, praying daily for family members and for persons in need.

Besides her husband of 58 years, she leaves a daughter Susan Larsen and her husband Clayton and their three sons, Clayton, Jr., Trenton and Preston and her son Paul, Jr. and his wife Leeah and their two children, Boen and Tesu. She also leaves a brother, Walter Papovitch of Ardsley, NY. She was predeceased by her daughter Joy and two of her brothers, John and George Papovitch.
