Lillian A. Shanahan, 89, of Sykesville, formerly of Catonsville and Randallstown, died Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Dove House.  Born March 17, 1930 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Delmas Pearson and Elizabeth Affeldt Pearson.  She was predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years John “Jack” E. Shanahan who died November 9, 2017.

Before retiring she was an Avon representative for 49 years.

Survived by 3 daughters Kathleen T. Cooper and husband Bob of Centreville, Colleen M. Manasen of Catonsville, Eileen A. Overfelt  and husband Walter of Sykesville; son-in-law Greg Bowers of Davidsonville; 2 sisters Esther Thorpe and Janice Hoobler, 2 brothers Bob Affeldt and Donald “Butch” Nevaker; 5 grandchildren Amber Watson and husband Rob, Melissa Cooper, Justin Overfelt and wife Michelle, Nicholas Overfelt and Briana Chaney, 4 great-grandchildren Kallena Kemp, Robert Watson IV, Nathan Watson and Lily Watson.

She was predeceased by 2 children John E. Shanahan, Jr. and Maureen R. Bowers; Granddaughter Krystal Cooper, and 2 brothers Gene “Buddy” Pearson and David Pearson.
